A councillor has pleaded not guilty after he was charged with assault.
Haydar Ulus, now an independent councillor in Haselbury Ward, appeared last week at Wood Green Crown Court for the first time this year.
He has been accused of assaulting a man occasioning actual bodily harm during an incident on February 20, 2014.
Cllr Ulus was suspended from the Labour party following the charge.
At the crown court, he pleaded not guilty to the charges and will face trial at the court during the week of August 24.
