We asked every candidate standing in next month’s general election to give us five reason why they should get your vote.
Enfield North candidate for Labour Joan Ryan told the Enfield Independent five reasons why she deserves to be elected as an MP on May 7.
1) I will protect Chase Farm Hospital from any more cuts and stop the Tories' privatisation of our NHS.
2) I will make life better for working families in Enfield by increasing the minimum wage to £8 by 2020, banning exploitative zero hours contracts, freezing energy prices until 2017, so that bills can only fall but not rise, and offering working parents of three and four-year-olds 25 hours' free childcare a week.
3) I will ensure Enfield's next generation do better than the last, by guaranteeing an apprenticeship for every school leaver who gets the basic grades and cutting tuition fees from £9,000 to £6,000.
4) I will make housing more affordable for people in Enfield by supporting Labour's plans to build 200,000 homes a year by 2020 and capping excessive rent rises for people that rent.
5) I will always put Enfield first and continue to campaign on behalf of people who live in Enfield.
