The Enfield Independent has sked every parliamentary candidate to give five reasons why they should become an MP next month.
Enfield Southgate candidate for the Green party, Jean Robertson-Molloy, has given her five reasons to vote for her on May 7.
Locally I have been directly involved in campaigns to improve our roads by cutting speeds to 20mph, and encouraging road use by walkers and cyclists rather than just motorists.
I would support an early change in the electoral system so that everyone’s vote would really count.
I would work with other parties to improve the NHS and stop the creeping privatisation which both Tories and Labour have allowed to escalate.
I would work to abolish Trident and prevent the development of expensive and destructive nuclear power systems .
My years of experience in Social Work have given me an understanding of people’s everyday problems and the will to help them improve their lives through measures such as the policies mentioned above, as well as through a vastly improved Social Services system.
