A NEW series of concerts featuring classical piano music will be held over the autumn.
Created by pianist Jennifer Carter, an accompanist at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the aim is to bring high quality instrumentalists and singers to the suburbs.
All the concerts will take place at Holy Trinity Church, The Broadway, Green Lanes, Winchmore Hill, which houses a Steinway grand piano.
Ms Carter, who will play duets as well as accompanying a singer and instrumentalists, said: “I want to make music more accessible to the swathes of people across North London who do not have the opportunity to see concerts of this calibre locally.
“After a successful trial concert in May I realised what a lovely acoustic the church has and I’m keen for as many people to enjoy it as possible.”
Ms Carter will perform the first concert in collaboration with clarinettist Shelly Ezra, presenting a programme that will include works by Poulenc and Chausson and Brahms. The performance will take place at 7.30pm on Friday, October 23.
