A motorcyclist has been flown by helicopter to hospital after colliding with a lamppost at high speed in Enfield this morning.
The crash at just before 8.25am near the junction of Great Cambridge Road and Crown Road did not involve any other vehicles, but the southbound carriageway remains closed, causing traffic to build up.
Paramedics treated the man, who was still conscious, at the scene before he was flown by air ambulance to the Royal London Hospital with serious leg injuries.
