CHILDREN ran a marathon around a football stadium in a bid to raise money for youngsters in Mali.
Year 3 pupils from Keys Meadow Primary School in Tysoe Avenue went to the Vicarage Road stadium of Watford Football Club last Thursday to run a collaborative marathon.
Each child ran a mile around the pitch as part of the school's effort to race at as many sports stadiums as possible to raise money for Oxfam.
Twenty per cent of children in Mali die before they are five years old and the charity wants to improve school buildings, train teachers and provide each school with a well for clean drinking water.
The children have raised over £115 so far but want to raise more. Click here to donate to the school's fundraising effort.
