Care home residents showed an entrepreneurial streak when they held a Christmas bazaar to raise money for a pamper room on Saturday.
Residents in Sir Thomas Lipton Memorial Home in Chase Side in Southgate sold crackers, Christmas ornaments and knitted tea cosies, egg cups and children’s clothes to raise cash for the home.
Home-made mince pies and mulled wine were also available to spread the Christmas spirit.
The money raised is being totted up, but the care home expects to have made around £200.
The cash will be spent on a pamper room for people living in the home complete with massages, hairdressing and beauty treatments.
