Singers who entertained shoppers with carols brought in almost £250 for a children’s charity last week.
Finchley and Friern Barnet Operatic Society took to ASDA in Chase Side on Wednesday to entertain shoppers with festive tunes.
The group raised £246.50 for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice, which supports children with serious illnesses in Enfield, Haringey, Barnet, Camden and Islington.
Chris Henry, a member of the society, said: “It's always a great pleasure to raise a significant amount for a charity such as Noah's Ark Children's Hospice.
“The work they do is tremendous and we can't thank ASDA and their customers enough for their extreme generosity.”
