A jealous husband who stabbed his wife to death will be sentenced for murder today.
Minta Adiddo stabbed his wife Akua Agyeman 29 times and ran her over in Morris Court, Enfeild Island Village on November 6, 2012.
Mr Adiddo, 37, pleaded guilty to manslaughter but not guilty to murder, but was found guilty of murdering his wife on Friday after a two-week trial at the Old Bailey.
The former Sainsbury’s worker accused his wife of having an affair with neighbour Oledapo Etti-Williams and claimed that Mr Etti-Williams pointed a gun to his head on the night of the attack.
His barrister, Jonathon Higgs, argued that this was the reason for his eventual loss of control and the death of his wife – not the supposed affair.
