New images have been released of a supernatural television drama based on the story of the Enfield poltergeist.
The Enfield Haunting, starring big names such as Timothy Spall, Juliet Stevenson and Matthew Macfadyen, will be shown on Sky Living.
The three-part drama will look at the events of August 1977, in which mother Peggy Hodgson, played by Rosie Cavaliero, called police to her rented home in Brimsdown after two of her four children claimed furniture was moving and knocking sounds were heard.
Mr Spall plays paranormal researcher Maurice Grosse with award-winning actress Eleanor Worthington-Cox, playing Janet, Mrs Hodgson’s youngest daughter.
She said: “Working on The Enfield Haunting has been an amazing experience. The role has been both challenging and rewarding. I’ve got to work with so many fantastic actors like Timothy, Matthew, Juliet and Rosie and I’ve worked with an amazing production team. I can’t wait for it to be on Sky Living in the spring.”
The programme will be aired in spring 2015.
