With just a month until the 2015 General Election, the Enfield Independent looks at the line-up of candidates for Edmonton.
On May 7, long-standing Labour MP Andy Love will step down from the seat he has held since 1997.
His last majority in 2010 was 9,613, almost 4,000 fewer than his winning margin in 1997.
He will be replaced as Labour candidate by Labour national committee member Kate Osamor, who beat competition from local figures to claim the candidacy.
Meanwhile, South West Enfield Action Team founder Gonul Daniels has been selected as the Conservative candidate for Edmonton.
Douglas Coker will be standing for the Greens, Neville Watson will hoping to win the seat for UKIP and David Schmitz will be standing for the Liberal Democrats.
The seat has been held by six Labour MPs and just three Conservatives since 1918 and covers the wards of Bush Hill Park, Edmonton Green, Haselbury, Jubilee, Lower Edmonton, Ponders End, Upper Edmonton.
Lewis Peacock will represent the Trade Unionist & Socialist Coalition.
