Students have been grilling candidates for the forthcoming General Election at their own question and answer session.
More than 200 pupils at Southgate School, in Sussex Way, asked candidates standing in Enfield Southgate their views on student loans, improving the local area and job prospects for young people.
Candidates Bambos Charalambous for Labour, David Burrowes for the Conservatives and Paul Smith for the Liberal Democrats all answered questions as their busy calendar of hustings takes shape before the election on May 7.
David Everett of Southgate School said: “It was very well attended and our sixth form pupils have shown a real interest in the election.
“We are having our own mock election on May 1 has been very exciting for pupils taking part.”
