A hairdresser and parliamentary candidate have teamed up to host an Over 50s forum to help them get back into work.
Enfield North Conservative nominee Nick de Bois and Tas Panteli, owner of Pure Hair and Beauty, in Windmill Hill, will host an image and confidence workshop for over 50s to help them prepare for job interviews.
The event will take place between 7.30pm and 9pm on Wednesday, April 29.
Mr de Bois said: "When providing tips and advice to those looking to get back into work, we often overlook the importance of self-confidence and making a good first impression which is why this workshop is such a great idea."
Mr Panteli added: "Seeing friends and family who had been made redundant after long term jobs having to go through the process of getting a new job showed me how difficult it can be just putting a CV together, with the added task of having the correct appearance for job interviews so we decided we'd like to give something back in to our community and help other's out".
The evening will include professional hair styling and make-up tips, a CV advice workshop, and a motivational talk from lifestyle coach Wendy Kettle.
