A new fringe theatre is opening in north London tonight.
The White Hart in Stoke Newington High Street is known for its food, selection of ales and beer garden, but now it’s tapping into the cultural scene by opening up a performance space upstairs.
Founded by Jamie Eastlake and Ella Marchment, Theatre N16 will offer theatre-makers no hire fees, inclusive marketing deals and technical and artistic support.
Jamie’s recent work includes the #NewYearNewWriting Season, the most successful theatrical period the Courtyard Theatre in Hoxton has staged and Ella has directed Cressida Bonas in the upcoming West End production of An evening with Lucian Freud.
N16 opens on Thursday (May 21) with three shorts, 30 Minutes, 4 To 6 Pounds and One Act Play.
