PRANKSTERS dressing up as clowns have been attempting to terrorise people on the streets of London.
But the Metropolitan Police says it cannot do anything because "no crime has been committed".
In one incident, a teenager said a clown jumped out at him from behind the bus stop in Friday Hill, Chingford, last night.
Another person reported seeing a clown jump out into the middle of the road while they were driving down down Chigwell Row, Hainault.
These incidents follow on from a ‘craze’ originating in the USA whereby people dressed as clowns have been photographed or filmed carrying outs various acts with the intention of scaring or causing fear.
