A world famous ghost story that inspired numerous Hollywood films and heralds from a north London borough is the subject of a Radio 4 programme.
BBC Radio 4 - The Reunion Programme with Sue MacGregor - will be looking at the Enfield Poltergeist on Friday.
Over the last 40 years the Enfield Poltergeist has become world famous.
Several Hollywood films – most recently The Conjuring 2 - have been loosely based on strange events that took place in a council house in Enfield in the late 1970s.
Stories about the Enfield Poltergeist began decades ago with BBC broadcasts on radio and television, as well as numerous national newspaper reports.
The book ‘This House is Haunted: An investigation of the Enfield Poltergeist’ by Guy Playfair was published in 1980.
The Reunion Programme first aired on Sunday and featured eyewitness interviews from former BBC reporter Roz Morris, now TV News London’s Managing Director, remembering her experience with the Enfield Poltergeist.
