Circulate London in collaboration with Millfield Theatre are hosting fabulous outdoor events that will thrill you over this summer and they are all free.
You can see hip-hop dance, acrobatic see-saws, machines and maybe a pre-historic creature or two…
Belly of the Whale
Circulate resident artists Ockham’s Razor present their first show made specifically for outdoors.
The performers, like surfers on a wild sea, ride a giant semi-circular see-saw made of wood and steel which creaks and groans as it transforms from a catapult, a gently rocking cradle, a tunnel, a slide - creating an ever-changing land and soundscape.
This piece is inspired by the concept of the belly of the whale which is found in mythology around the world.
Outside Enfield Town Library - Thursday, August 16 at 12.45pm and 3.30pm
D-Construction
Cie Dyptik bring us their high energy performance of, D-Construction. It is a thrilling and energetic hip-hop dance performance with an infectious beat.
In the middle of the space a huge and striking metal structure creates a playground, prison and place of expression.
Six dancers experience the liberation of the mind through movement. Merging into a group, they create a stronger entity; breaking apart, they assert their uniqueness. They interact with the metal scaffolding as it cages, protects and frees them at the very same time.
Outside Enfield Town Library - Tuesday, August 21 at 1pm and 3.30pm
Saurus
They are presumed to be extinct, but the biggest beasts that ever walked the earth return to the 21st century. Make sure you jump swiftly out of the way as with a deafening roar the Saurus charge through the crowds, looking for food.
Breathe a sigh of relief as the Saurus start eating plant life.
Saurus is a larger-than-life spectacle combining theatre, stilts, music, fire, dance, metal constructions and aerial objects amongst the audience, presented by Close Act Theatre
Outside Enfield Town Library - Thursday, August 23 at 11am and 3.30pm
EXO
The amazing EXO is brought to us by Motionhouse. Featuring two incredible performers and a driver, EXO is a stunning outdoor spectacle for dancers and JCB diggers. This riveting show sees performers dancing in an extraordinary partnership with a JCB in a breath-taking display of strength, emotion and beauty.
Following on from Traction and Fragile, EXO boldly explores the relationship between man and machine: a whirlwind of excitement and thrills for all the family.

Conseqüències
For a moment I stopped to listen, to watch, and the world around me kept on going. How can I find what I lost during these moments? The more I accelerate, the later I arrive, as if a strange force conspired against my presence in the time of others.
Conseqüències is a dance performance which pushes the boundaries between reality and fiction with hilarious results. Brought to us be Cia Moveo, it explores the consequences of being late, off the mark and out of step with the rest of the world.
Outside Enfield Town Library - Thursday, September 15 at 1.30pm and 3.30pm
