Police have seized 30kg of suspected class A drugs following a vehicle stop on a motorway.
The Metropolitan Police says a vehicle was pulled over on the M25 at around 10pm last night (Thursday) between junction 24 for Potters Bar and junction 25 for Enfield.
Officers say they discovered a large holdall bag inside the boot of the vehicle they stopped.
The Met added that 30 1kg blocks of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of £3 million was found in the bag.
The drugs were seized and have been submitted for specialist analysis.
Detective Inspector Niall McSheffrey from the Met’s specialist crime north east unit, said: "This was a significant seizure of class A drugs and this a great example of how officers are tirelessly working to disrupt the supply of drugs.
"Seizures such as this stop drugs reaching the streets of London, where they have the potential to cause great harm to people and communities."
- Sam Migliorini, 31, of Shaw Avenue, Barking, was charged on October 2 with possession with intent to supply class A drugs (cocaine) and possession of criminal property. He will appear in custody on October 3 at Thames Magistrates’ Court.
