Detectives have arrested two 16-year-olds on suspicion of attempted murder after another teenager was seriously injured in a stabbing.
The 16-year-old was stabbed in Lordship Recreation Ground near Tottenham on the afternoon of Sunday August 1.
Emergency services responded at 2.17pm and an air ambulance was also dispatched to treat the boy who had sustained stab wounds..
Police have said today (August 8) the injured boy remains in a critical condition in hospital.
His next of kin are being supported by specially trained officers, the Met added.
Enquiries into the stabbing have been taking place and two teenagers have been arrested by detectives.
A 16-year-old boy was detained on suspicion of attempted murder on August 5, Police say he is currently in hospital for treatment unrelated to this incident.
A second 16-year-old male boy was arrested yesterday (August 7). He has since been released on bail.
Detective Inspector Kelly Hodgson said: "While these arrests are an important step in our investigation we still need anyone who witnessed this incident to get in touch with us as soon as possible. A young man remains in a critical condition in hospital and his family deserve to know what happened to him.
"The Met is committed to tackling violence but we cannot work alone to combat this issue, we need the public's support to help identify those responsible."
Police are still keen to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened or have information.
Officers from the North Area Basic Command Unit have recovered CCTV and say they have spoken to a number of witnesses already.
