Several streets in and around Enfield are facing temporary closures for roadworks, including some lasting more than a month.
Notices from Enfield Council in this week’s edition of the Enfield Independent detail the closures and any other restrictions that may be required while the works are carried out.
Water works are set to close a section of Derby Road EN3 for 48 days from Sunday.
The road will be shut to vehicles from its junction with Lincoln Road and junction with High Street. Waiting and loading restrictions will also be in place along this length of the road.
The diversion will be via Lincoln Road, High Street and vice versa.
A section of Borden Avenue EN1 is due to be closed for five weeks from Monday while resurfacing works are carried out.
The closure, as and when directed by road signs, will be in place from the junction with Sittingbourne Avenue to a point in line where Borden Avenue meets Faversham Avenue.
Waiting and loading restrictions will also apply during this time, and the alternative route will be via Sittingbourne Avenue, Teynham Avenue and vice versa.
Trent Gardens N14, from its junction with Avenue Road to a point in line with the boundary of Nos. 128/130, is due to be closed for seven days for utility works from September 25. No waiting and loading restrictions will also be in place.
The alternative route for westbound vehicles will be via Avenue Road, Chase Side, Green Road and Trent Gardens.
For those travelling in the opposite direction, it will be via Avenue Road, The Fairway, Green Road and Trent Gardens.
King Edwards Road EN3 is set to be shut to vehicles in two places for 47 days from September 27 for utility works.
Vehicles will be prohibited from entering and proceeding at the junction with Alexandra Road, and at the junction with Alma Road.
The diversion will be via Alexandra Road, Durants Road, Alma Road and vice versa.
Also from September 27, part of Hazelbury Lane N9 is set to closed for 13 days for utility works.
The closure is due to be in place from the junction with Hazelbury Road to a point 75m east on Hazelbury Lane.
The alternative route for northbound traffic will be via Hazelbury Road, Chalfont Road, Hazelbury Green and vice vera.
For those travelling southbound, it will be via Hazelbury Road, Park Lane, Hazelbury Green and vice versa.
