A police officer linked to Enfield and Haringey has been charged with theft and perverting the course of justice.
PC Mohammad Ghalayini, attached to the North Area BCU (Basic Command Unit), was arrested on Wednesday, March 24.
It followed an investigation by the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards.
He was then charged on Monday, October 25, and will appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on November 18.
PC Ghalayini has been suspended from duty.
A Met Police spokesperson said the theft charge relates to allegedly taking cash from a police station.
