A murder investigation has launched after an elderly man died.
Police were called to a disturbance at Chelmsford Road, Southgate, on Saturday (October 30) at 9.41pm.
Once officers and paramedics attended, a man, believed to be 86, was found suffering a head injury.
He was then pronounced dead at the scene and the Met say the next of kin are aware and will be supported by specialist officers.
Officers arrested a man, 53, at the scene on suspicion of murder.
It is believed that the man arrested and the victim were known to each other.
A post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.
A crime scene remains in place and police enquiries continue.
