The times when pedestrian and cycle zones are in operation around several schools in the Enfield area is set to be amended.
A notice from Enfield Council in this week’s edition of the Enfield and Haringey Independent details the changes that are proposed to be introduced in the vicinity of seven primary schools in the borough.
The school streets zones prohibit motorists without permits from using certain lengths of road at specified times with the intention of making the journey to and from school safer and healthier for children.
The schools, lengths of road and proposed new times are as follows:
- George Spicer Primary School: Sketty Road EN1, from outside Nos. 62/64 to its junction with Claydach Road – 8.30am to 9.15am, and 2.45pm to 3.35pm.
- Hazelbury Primary School: Westerham Avenue N9, from its junction with Orpington Gardens to its junction with Haselbury Road – 8.25am to 9am, and 2.55pm to 3.35pm.
- Keys Meadow Primary School: Tysoe Avenue EN3, from the roundabout outside Nos. 1 to 6 Horizon House (No. 107) Tyson Avenue to the northern extremities of Tysoe Avenue – 8.20am to 9.10am, and 3pm to 3.40pm.
- Kingfisher Hall Primary School: The Ride EN3, from its junction with Collinwood Avenue to its junction with Cowland Avenue – 8.15am to 9am, and 2.30pm to 3.30pm.
- Lavender Primary School: Hawthorn Grove EN2, from outside No. 40 to the south-eastern extremity of Hawthorn Grove; and Lavender Road EN2, from its junction with Rosemary Avenue to its junction with Hawthorn Grove – 8.30am to 9.05am, and 3pm to 3.30pm.
- St Paul’s C of E Primary School: Ringwood Way N21, from its junction with Station Road to outside No. 38 Ringwood Way – 8.30am to 9am, and 3.15pm to 3.45pm.
- Worcesters Primary School: Goat Lane EN1, from its junction with Holbrook Close to outside No. 90 Goat Lane; and Garnault Road EN1, from its junction with St George’s Road to its junction with Goat Lane – 8.20am to 9am, and 3pm to 3.40pm.
