Police searching for a missing young man have discovered a body.
The Metropolitan Police launched an appeal to find university student Lucas Opanuga, 21, who was reported missing by his family at about 4pm on February 22 after he left the family home in Southgate in north London to go to the shops.
The University of Portsmouth student had returned home to London on February 8.
On March 3, the Met tweeted that the body of a man had been found in woodland in Waltham Abbey. The force added that Mr Opanuga's family had been informed.
The tweet said: "We previously appealed for help to locate Lucas Opanuga who had been reported missing from Enfield. Yesterday, officers searching an area of woodland found the body of a man.
"Lucas's family have been updated with this development and are being supported by officers."
