A road next to a hospital is set to be closed for more than three months for roadworks.
A notice from Enfield Council in this week’s edition of the Enfield and Haringey Independent details plans for the phased closure of Bull Lane N18 for a programme of highway improvement works.
The road provides access to North Middlesex University Hospital and is due to be shut on a phased basis, as and when directed by traffic signs, from its junction with the A406 North Circular Road to the borough boundary with Haringey, and from its junction with Amersham Avenue southwards for approximately 240m.
The closures are due to start on May 9 and will last for approximately 16 weeks.
The diversion for vehicles on Bridport Road and Wilbury Way wanting to the access the North Circular will be via Gloucester Road; for vehicles on Queen Street wanting to access Bridport Way and Wilbury Way it will be via White Hart Lane and Pretoria Road.
A 20-day closure of Totteridge Road EN3 between the common boundaries of Nos. 90 and 92 and Nos. 98 and 100 is set to begin on April 4.
Motorists should instead use Totteridge Road, Hertford Road, Putney Road, Mandeville Road and vice versa.
Kingsmead Avenue N9 is set to be shut at its junction with Bounces Road from April 4 for five days for roadworks.
The alternative route will be via Hertford Road, Rosemary Avenue and Kingsmead Avenue; or Bounces Road, Elstree Gardens, Rosemary Avenue and Kingsmead Avenue.
Also from April 4 for five days, Norfolk Road EN3 is scheduled to be closed from the common boundary of Nos. 40 and 42 to the junction with Northfield Road.
Another five-day closure starting on April 4 and expected to last for five days is due to take place in Springfield Road N11 between the common boundaries of Nos. 49 and 51 and Nos. 61 and 63.
The diversion route will be via Lombards Road, The Limes Avenue, Palmers Back Road back into Springfield Road and vice versa.
Churchbury Lane EN1 is due to be temporarily closed at its junction with Silver Street EN1 for three days from April 13.
The diversion will be via Churchbury Lane, Parsonage Lane, Silver Street, St Andrews Road, Southbury Road, Willow Road, Parsonage Lane and Baker Street.
