London Fire Brigade has 100 firefighters battling a fire "the size of four football pitches", after multiple grass fires broke out this weekend.
The fire service is urging people nearby to keep windows and doors closed while they tackle the fire in Rammey Marsh, Enfield, as well as issuing a reminder not to have barbecues and to dispose of cigarettes properly.
In a Twitter post, London Fire Brigade described the blaze as "the size of four football pitches."

At around 3pm yesterday (July 24) ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters tackled a grass fire in South Ordnance Road, Enfield.
A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: "We’re urging people to take extra care and help us prevent fires on open land this summer.
We now have 15 fire engines and around 100 firefighters tackling the grass fire in Rammey Marsh in #Enfield. Please help us reduce grass fires today by not having BBQs & disposing of cigarettes properly. pic.twitter.com/PWznFbYlZy

“Make sure rubbish, especially glass, is safely thrown away and cigarettes are always properly disposed of.
"Grass will be tinder dry after periods of hot weather, so please don’t have barbecues in parks and public spaces."

Anticlockwise traffic on the M25 was briefly held between junctions 27 and 25 due to "a fire in an adjacent field".
