A man believed to be in his 20s is in a critical condition after being shot in Enfield this afternoon. 

Police were called to North Middlesex Hospital at 2.33pmpm, after the man had been admitted with a gunshot injury. 

A police spokesperson said it is believed he was injured following a shooting near Derby Road, in Ponders End. 

No arrests have been made so far, though enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
