A council by-election will be held in Enfield after a councillor resigned “for personal reasons” less than a year into her term of office.
Cllr Esin Gunes announced on March 9 that she would be stepping down.
A by-election will now be held in the council’s Bullsmoor ward on April 20, when polls will be open from 7am until 10pm.
Cllr Gunes was elected in May 2022 with 1,192 votes alongside fellow Labour candidate Cllr Kate Anolue.
The deadline for candidate nominations for the 2023 by-election is 4pm on March 22.
