A person has died they were hit by a train.
Emergency services rushed to Enfield Lock station last night (March 19) at 11.30pm to reports of a casualty on the track.
The British Transport Police says the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson said: “The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
After the incident, National Rail issued an alert at 11.55pm that a person had been hit between Tottenham Hale and Cheshunt, which resulted in all lines on the Greater Anglia and Stansted Express being blocked.
It was said that there was disruption to the service for the rest of the night.
