A doctor’s surgery in Enfield has been shut for more than three months, forcing patients to travel further to see their GP.
Grenoble Gardens surgery in Grenoble Gardens was shut after Christmas due to “structural issues”.
This has forced patients to travel to Grovelands Medical Centre in Grovelands Road, about a mile away from Grenoble Gardens, for appointments.
A petition against the closure has now been launched, gathering almost 600 signatures.
There is currently no confirmation as to when Grenoble Gardens surgery will reopen, or if work has begun to fix the “structural issues”.
A spokesperson for North Central London Integrated Care Board, which oversees GP surgeries in the area, said: “Grenoble Gardens Surgery has suffered from some structural issues with the building that houses the surgery.
“This has resulted in a temporary closure of the practice while assessments of the building’s safety are made.”
