Two women are in critical condition after one fell from a height.

A section of High Road in Wood Green is currently closed off today (April 12) after the fall.

Emergency services were called at 4.50pm today to reports of a woman injured after falling from a height.

The Metropolitan Police says another woman sustained injures from the incident.

They are both in hospital and remain in critical condition.

A spokesperson said: “Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing and officers are working to trace their next of kin. Road closures are currently in place on High Road.”

Images show crowds overlooking emergency services near the Primark store.

The road was closed off between Gladstone Avenue and Alexandra Road, however this has since been lifted and traffic is easing.

Traffic tracker Inrix said that “several” bus routes were diverted from the area.
