Indie star Freya Ridings delighted fans as she played an impromptu gig on home turf.
The singer/songwriter appeared at the Devonshire Square Street Market, in Palmers Green, on April 22 with her husband, folk singer Ewan J Phillips.
Freya rose to stardom after her song Lost Without You was used as a break up ballad on Love Island.
Her next gig will be much larger as she is part of an all star line-up singing at the King's Coronation Concert on May 7 at Windsor Castle.
Shirley Rose, who co-ordinated the music programme for the Palmers Green Action Team Market said she had "no idea" the singer would be there.
"She literally just rocked up at the market." said Shirley.
"There was a lovely woman who was first time performing and she was really supportive to her.
"We were chatting away and she said 'I'll do some if you want', we said 'yeah' and borrowed a guitar.
“She said she’d do a song and ended up doing a whole set.
"She said she wanted to come to the market because 'it's my old stomping ground'.
"We were thrilled obviously.
“One day Palmer’s Green, next week the King.”
Freya's second album Blood Orange is out on May 5.
