A standoff between police and a man on the roof of a north London hospital has finally come to an end after nearly 30 hours.
Police were called to North Middlesex Hospital in Edmonton by staff on Saturday (June 10) at 4.22pm after a man climbed onto the hospital roof.
He reportedly refused to climb down from the roof near to the hospital’s accident and emergency entrance and allegedly threw items at staff and passersby.
A police spokesperson said that there were no reports of any injuries.
Cordons remained in place around the hospital while the incident was ongoing.
Police have now confirmed that the man climbed down from the roof at 8.20pm yesterday evening (June 11).
He has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and has been taken to hospital to be assessed by medical professionals.
