Firefighters with breathing apparatus rescued a woman from a blaze in a first-floor flat.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled the fire in Lincoln Road, Enfield, today (Monday, July 31) after being called at 10.08am.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued a woman via an internal staircase. She was treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service crews.
Six other people had left the building before the brigade arrived.
Te fire was under control by 10.51am.
Most of a three-roomed flat on the first floor of the building was damaged.
Fire crews from Tottenham, Chingford and Enfield fire stations attended.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
