A serving police officer has been charged with sexually assaulting a woman.
PC Joe Moloney, attached to Met Operations, has been charged in connection with an alleged incident in Bruce Grove.
The alleged sexual assault took place on October 29, 2022, while he was off-duty.
PC Moloney appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on October 17 where he pleaded not guilty.
He has since been bailed and is set to appear at Wood Green Crown Court on November 21.
PC Moloney was arrested on November 1 last year and the Independent Office for Police Conduct has since determined that a local investigation is appropriate.
A police spokesperson said that PC Moloney is currently suspended from duty and that the Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed.
