A man has been charged with the murder of a teenage boy who was stabbed to death.

Bernard Carroll, of Church Street in Edmonton, was arrested on Monday (November 6) and alter charged with the murder of 16-year-old Taye Faik.

The 19-year-old is due to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (November 8).

Police were called to Kendal Gardens in Edmonton on October 1 at 11.27pm to reports of a stabbing.

Despite the best efforts of emergency services, Taye was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination on October 4 established the cause of death as a sharp force trauma to the chest.

A 16-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of murder but has been released on bail.

Three other people, a man, 20, and two 22-year-old women, were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and have all been bailed.
