A second man has been charged with the murder of a teenage boy.

Josiah James Semper, 18, of Cromie Close in Palmers Green was charged on Friday (November 17) in connection with the murder of 16-year-old Taye Faik.

Police were called at 11.27am on October 1, to a stabbing in Kendal Gardens, Edmonton.

Tragically, despite the best efforts of the emergency services, Taye, from that area, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem on October 4 established the cause of death as sharp force trauma to the chest.

Taye's family have been informed and is being supported by police.

James Semper, charged on Friday, is due to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday (November 21).

Another man was previously charged in relation to this matter.

Bernard Carroll, 19, of Church Street in Edmonton, was arrested on November 6 and later charged.

He is due to appear at the Old Bailey on February 2 in 2024.

A girl, 16, who was arrested on suspicion of murder, has been released on bail.

Three others - a man, 20, a woman, 22, and another 22-year-old female were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

All have been bailed.
