A church blaze has led to 40 firefighters and six fire engines scrambling to the scene.
London Fire Brigade (LFB) was called at 13.58pm yesterday (January 1) after part of a church was on fire, with smoke seen coming out of its roof.
LFB sent six fire engines and 40 firefighters to The Parish Church of St John the Evangelist in Palmers Green, Enfield.
Just over an hour after LFB officers were called, the fire was surrounded by 3.02pm.

A small part of the church had been alight and there were no reports of any injuries.
The fire had reportedly spread inside the church before LFB crews arrived.
Firefighters from Edmonton, Hornsey and Enfield fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, LFB added.
