A man and a woman have been charged with murder after a 66-year-old man was stabbed to death at a block of flats.
George Eric Rogers has been named as the victim of the stabbing, which took place in Lockhart Close on Friday evening (March 1).
Police responded to the incident just before 7.30pm that evening, and found the 66-year-old with stab injuries in the communal area of the flats.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, he died at the scene.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said the body has not yet been formally identified but that George’s next of kin are aware of his death.
Ellie Ackhurst, 30 and Anthony Elliott, 42, both of no fixed address, were charged with his murder this morning (March 5).
The pair will appear in custody at Highbury Magistrates' Court later today.
