A plume of thick smoke could be seen for miles around as flames ripped through a caravan.
Two fire engines and crews were called just after 5.30pm today (April 11) to reports of the blaze in Hertford Road, Enfield.
A caravan was destroyed by flames.
Part of some building site hoardings and part of a bus shelter was also damaged, London Fire Brigade said.
There were no reports of any injuries.
The brigade's 999 control officers received more than 40 calls about the fire, which was brought under control by 5.54pm.
The Metropolitan Police were called to support the brigade at the cordons.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
