Four Enfield primary schools have been named as among the best in the country.
They were included in the most recent The Sunday Times Parent Power 2024 league table, which includes the top 500 schools in England.
The list is ranked on the percentage of pupils who achieved their expected grade in the 2023 SATs.
The Enfield schools that made the list were: Hadley Wood Primary School (165th), Walker Primary School (280th), Merryhills Primary School (354th) and St Paul’s C of E Primary School (499th).
Raakhee Tailor, headteacher of Walker Primary School in Southgate, said she was “thrilled” the school had made the list.
She said: “We are passionate about ensuring extraordinary outcomes for all who come through our door and this recognition is testament to the ambition of the whole school community.
“Our children are curious and motivated learners, who thrive under our exceptional quality of teaching, and grow into confident, resilient and motivated young people.
“Walker children work hard and we are exceptionally proud of their progress.”
The list was released just before families received confirmation of their chosen primary schools for their three and four-year-old children earlier this month.
In Enfield, 92.6% of families received their first choice primary school this year and 98% were given a place at one of their top three listed schools.
