A man in his 40s has died after a shooting in Tottenham.
The incident happened in Waltheof Gardens near Smithson Road at 9am today (October 15).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a man who had been shot.
He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.
No arrests have been made as police enquiries are on-going.
An investigation has since been launched and a crime scene remains in place.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “On Tuesday, 15 October police were called to Waltheof Gardens, N17 at 9am following reports of a shooting.
“Officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service and found a man, aged in his forty’s suffering with a gunshot injury.
“Despite the emergency services efforts, he was pronounced dead on scene.
“An investigation has been launched and a crime scene remains in place at the location.
“There have been no arrests and enquiries are on-going.
