A pedestrian has died following a crash on a main road in Edmonton.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called at 4.35am this morning (October 27) to the A406 with reports of a car involved in a crash with a man.
The incident occurred on the westbound carriageway of the A-road, near to the junction with Meridian Way.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene at 5.13am.
Work is ongoing to establish his identity and inform his next of kin.
Road closures remain in place, with a detour in operation.

The car stopped at the scene.
There have been no arrests at this time.
