Zaneta Peto, 55, of Charles Street, Enfield - also known as Maria Peto - has been charged with the murder of Efthyia Constantinou at a home in Edmonton.
Peto appeared at Highbury Magistrates’ Court today (November 2) after being arrested in connection with the murder on Friday (October 31).
The Metropolitan Police launched an investigation after a dropped call was made to officers from an address in Westerham Avenue, shortly after 5pm on Thursday (October 30).
When police arrived at the address they found 62-year-old Efthyia suffering "stab injuries".
Despite the efforts of officers and London Ambulance crew, Efthyia was pronounced dead at the scene.
