A historic department store has turned its rooftop bar into a winter wonderland.

John Lewis & Partners' flagship store on Oxford Street has transformed its 1864 Rooftop Bar & Kitchen into a cosy winter retreat.

Perched on the sixth floor, the bar offers views of the famous Christmas lights and now features heated igloos and private wooden huts.

The igloos, which can accommodate up to eight guests, offer a festive feasting menu in a 'warm and cosy' setting.

The bar has teamed up with Grey Goose to create a range of bespoke winter cocktails.

These include a Chocolate Orange Martini and a Grey Goose Hot Chocolate.

Other seasonal drinks include the Winter Queen and a Decadent Mulled Wine.

Non-alcoholic drinks and mocktails are also available.

Benugo chefs have put together feasting menus featuring dishes

such as Morcilla pigs in blankets, butternut squash and truffle risotto, braised beef cheek with creamy polenta, and chocolate and olive oil mousse with cherry compote.

The regular menu includes a selection of small plates and larger dishes.

The festive feasting menus are available for groups of six or more and are priced at £60 per person.

The bar is open from 12pm to 10pm Monday to Saturday, and from 12pm to 9pm on Sunday.

Live DJ sets will take place on Friday and Saturday nights.

The 1864 Rooftop Bar & Kitchen can be found at John Lewis, 300 Oxford Street, London, W1C 1DX.
