A TRIAL of alleged drug dealers has been abandoned after allegations of misconduct by Enfield police, the Crown Prosecution Service has confirmed.
The defendants appeared in Wood Green Crown Court on March 16 but the trial was discontinued on March 18.
A spokeswoman for the CPS said: “The CPS took the decision on March 18 this year to offer no evidence in this case at trial as it would not be in the public interest to proceed.
"To do so would have compromised a wide-ranging criminal investigation into a number of police officers.”
