A MAN has pleaded guilty to driving offences after a police chase in Enfield last week.
Martin Reynolds, 23, of Sydney Road, Enfield, appeared at Enfield Magistrates Court yesterday charged with driving a vehicle without consent, without a licence and without insurance.
A 17-year-old woman has been bailed until June 12 pending further enquiries.
A witness said she saw two police cars chasing a car down Lincoln Road towards Hertford Road at about 11.30am on Thursday morning.
As one of the police cars went to overtake, the fleeing car swerved and crashed into a row of parked cars, she said.
Police confirmed the car had been followed since the Great Cambridge Road and a helicopter was also involved. A spokeswoman said: “Both suspects were arrested and an ambulance was called for a man in his 30s who was treated at the scene.”
A member of staff at the BMW dealership at the A10 end of Lincoln Road said several of her colleagues’ cars had been damaged in the chase.
Reynolds will be sentenced at Wood Green Crown Court.
