A CHARITY providing support and advice to couples with relationship problems is set to close because of financial problems.

Relate North London, in Green Lanes, Palmers Green, has announced that it can no longer continue as a charity and its trustees are advising it goes into liquidation.

A final decision will be taken by trustees, members and creditors on July 6.

Relate, which has branches throughout the UK, offers relationship counselling, sex therapy and family counselling.

A statement issued by the trustees said: “The trustees would like to thank the staff of Relate North London.

“We have great admiration for them and they have worked hard to provide professional services to our clients during a period of uncertainty.

“We are sorry for any inconvenience we may be causing our clients. ”

Clients of Relate North London, and others who feel they may need the service, can call 0300 100 1234 to find out their nearest centre.
