A FIRE engulfed a shed by a block of flats on Sunday afternoon. The shed, which housed a scooter belonging to a resident, was alight for about 15 minutes.
The cause of the fire, in The General’s Row, near Ordnance Road, Enfield Lock, is still being investigated.
Raymond Pizon, a support worker for one of the residents in the block, had just finished working his shift when the fire started.
He said: "We were inside the building when we heard a crackling sound, like someone was having a barbeque.
"We looked out of the window and we saw a big fire."
The fire brigade was called at 5pm, and sent two engines from Enfield. The blaze was out by 5.15pm.
