THE Ruth Winston Centre is doing its bit to launch Wimbledon with a strawberry tea afternoon.
The event will be held on Thursday, July 2 from 2.30pm to 4.30pm, at the centre in Green Lanes, Palmers Green, and residents can watch live tennis action on a big screen.
As well as a cream tea, there will also be a raffle.
Tickets cost just £4 and proceeds will go towards the running costs at the centre. The Ruth Winston Centre runs activities, classes and groups for people over 50 yeas old.
